Sunday, December 25, 2011 In Stamford, Connecticut, three children and their grandparents died in a house fire related to a bag of ashes not completely extinguished before removing them from the fire place. Two people managed to escape the blaze while four firefighters were injured. There were no working smoke alarms in the home.
